Concret Clock 2011.5.22 - 2011.6.8
Under the title Concret Clock,
the artist resided on this closed windowless space for 18 days, 24hours a day, starting from May 22nd.
In this space(Insa art space-alternative art space), the artist was provided with provisions from outside, and had chance encounters with random visitors.
Ths artist documented in detail the subtitle psychological and physical changes that took place during her solo exhibition while she subsisted alone in an open yet closed breezeless grey cement space.
"Through this peoject, Kim makes us think about the direct personal relationship, gap between self and others, and the contradiction between the body and matter.
These issues are problems of life that become more vivid though existential self awareness, and cannot be visualized as a visual medium or be systematized as meaning. "

"담담하게 기술 할 수 있는 ‘생’이 있었나. 옅게 흐르는 피 같은 건 없고 모든 구멍에서는 숨이 치열하게 새어 나오는 법이다. 구체적 현실(또는 생)을 더 이상 감각하지 않는 불능의 언어가 나를 산송장 치를 지경이면 나는 감각의 불씨를 최대한 증폭시킨 채 내 안의 공터에 맞불을 놓는다. 상실과 소멸의 공포를 강박적으로 환기시키면서까지 나 자신을 서늘한 부재의 공간 속에 그냥 두는 것은 어떤 실재를 들춰보려는 제어할 수 없는 욕망과, 고독하여 홀가분해 질 때 체험되는 강렬한 현재적 쾌감 또는 승리감 때문이다."
